While these are recommended as minimum groupings for MiDiv Races, individual races may group classes as best fits their program. Ownership of a permanent number is not a guarantee of being able to use that number at any given race. It is recommended drivers have alternate numbers in mind with a plan of how to change it so it is most legible to timing, corners, etc.

These numbers are valid for all three MiDiv Club Racing series: MiDiv National Racing, The I.T. Tour, and the Mid-Am Championship. At the end of the season, awards are sent to the drivers’ Regional Executives for presentation at Regional award banquets. In National Racing (also the I.T. Tour) a driver must finish top-3 in class and make at least three starts in MiDiv races in the same class to be eligible for awards.

A MiDiv permanent number may be purchased at any time through the end of the MiDiv National racing season. Purchaser must be a member of a MiDiv Region. Drivers or car owners seeking a new number may call or e-mail for a courtesy one-week hold on any available number. No numbers are sold between Labor Day and Christmas and no advance reservations will be taken during that time for 2009 numbers.

Shortly after Christmas, all MiDiv drivers will be sent a letter with the Permanent Number Application/Renewal form. Those drivers who raced their number at least three times in 2008 will have that number held for renewal until Feb. 28, 2009. ALL drivers owning a number in 2008 will have at least the courtesy one-week hold (through approx. Jan. 5) on that number for 2009.
